Causes for Increase in Teen Drug Dealers

- In need of money to support themselves and/or family
- Want money without doing the amount of work needed to get it 
- Peer pressure
- Believe it is the only option they have 
- Helps keep up with their own drug habits


 

Social issue

 I will investigate and help solve the increase in teens selling recreational drugs in Orange, NJ.      

Where Im From

I am from flip flop and winter coats 
From blazing days of ice cream and candy 
To blizzards, creating memories of timeless moments
Where days held unimaginable wonder 
And riding bikes was silent freedom 
Jungle jims held a promise that lasted a lifetime 
And life was simple 

I am from cartoons and reality shows 
From holding on to every bit of childhood 
To trying so hard to grow up faster    
A place where boys were from Mars and girls were from Venus   
But you couldnt help wanting to visit other planets 
And girls were getting too old for Barbie's Dream Closet 
So they set out to make thier own 
Disney channel was secretly one of your favorite channels      
 But fairy tales were now as real as Santa Claus 

I am from cellphones and magazines 
From worrying about my future 
To living only in the moment
A place where confusion is common practice 
But those moments of sudden clarity makes it worth it 
And no one can tell you anything 
Not your parent,teacher, or pastor  
Because everything is in your reach 
All you have to do is stretch your hand and take it
